Curriculum Information

GEMS World Academy-Dubai is an International Baccalaureate School offering the continuum of IB programs: the Primary Years Program (PYP) in the elementary school and the Middle Years Program (MYP) and Diploma Program (DP) in the secondary school. All three programs at GWA-Dubai have been through the authorization process and are fully authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization.

The International Baccalaureate
The International Baccalaureate (IB) offers high quality programs of international education to a worldwide community of schools.The IB aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the IB works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right. There are currently more than 900,000 IB students in over 140 countries around the world.
