Mark Liddell

Mr Mark Liddell

Assistant Principal Secondary - Teaching and Learning

I am a highly capable and experienced educational leader and teacher. I have worked in both the Banking and Telecommunications sectors as well as in traditional and progressive educational settings. I have worked as an Assistant Principal at Northern Beaches Christian School, a Research Consultant at the Sydney Centre for Innovation in Learning, and most recently as the Head of Mathematics at the Sydney Church of England Grammar School. These experiences have allowed me to develop expertise with student wellbeing, curriculum and assessment, and educational technology integration.

I believe that education should be challenging, engaging, and empowering, and allow students the opportunity to develop as global citizens. I lead in a manner that values hard work, design thinking, collaboration, and creativity. My contributions to the global education network can be seen on Twitter where I share, alongside School Leaders, Professors, Teachers and Researchers from across the world. I have also seen a positive impact with my TED Ed project titled ‘How Statistics Can Be Misleading’.

I completed my Master of Educational Leadership at the University of New South Wales and also completed study programmes at the University of Southampton, University of Wollongong, and Charles Sturt University. I am currently completing Phase 4 Accreditation with Growth Coaching International as a Leadership Coach. In my research projects I have visited and worked with School Leaders and Researchers throughout; Canada, USA, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, the Netherlands, Spain, UK, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland.

I am a keen skier and surfer, who enjoys playing the guitar, and working out at F45. I am married to Emily and we have three adventurous young children.
