Enrichment Opportunities

Enriching experiences for all ages

GEMS World Academy – Dubai has a comprehensive and active enrichment programme with the range of activities provided ensuring there is something to inspire and enrich every child, no matter whether they are sporty, musical, dramatic, thoughtful, competitive, curious, caring or creative. Students of all ages are encouraged to sign up to enrichment activities that excite and challenge them. The programme is diverse and offers opportunities across a multitude of disciplines including music, performing arts, sport, science, languages and public speaking.

Beyond the Classroom

Our enrichment opportunities can be divided into categories including: Clubs and Committees, Performing and Expressive Arts, Sports, Languages, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Social Impact, Trips and Events and the Genius Method: Leadership and Volunteering. We provide opportunities over the course of all three terms per academic year, with some clubs offered yearly and others termly.  There is no charge for the vast majority of enrichment opportunities however some may involve a fee for additional costs, to cover specialist materials or external tuition (e.g. skiing and golf).

It is not uncommon for students to develop a long-lasting interest and enthusiasm for their activities, with many continuing on to more advanced levels as they progress through and beyond the classroom. Our enrichment programme therefore makes an important contribution to the all-round education that the Academy provides.

Enrichment Opportunities

Activities take place on campus before school, during both primary and secondary lunch -times and after school from 3:15pm – 4:15pm. The enrichment programme has been tailored to ensure it follows and adheres to the health and safety guidelines set out by KHDA and the Dubai Authorities. Week Without Walls

GEMS World Academy – Dubai's Week Without Walls (WWW) programme is designed to help all students (Pre-K to Grade 12) to become more internationally minded and better global citizens. During WWW, students are able to engage in sustainable service projects, gain awareness of the issues that transcend national borders, develop an understanding of issues such as poverty, indigenous people and environmental degradation and preservation.
