Safe, Seen and Supported
Students learn best when they feel safe, secure and supported. At GEMS World Academy – Dubai (GWA), we are committed to creating an inclusive, caring and respectful environment where every student feels valued, listened to and able to thrive.
Wellbeing and Pastoral Care
Every student’s wellbeing matters. We aim to foster a culture of care, respect and open communication, through the support of our school community.
We recognise the importance of working in partnership with parents and carers to support each student’s wellbeing and development.
Parents are encouraged to contact the school if they have concerns about their child’s wellbeing, relationships or experience at school, so that these can be directed to the appropriate member of staff.
Safeguarding at GWA
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility and an essential part of school life at GEMS World Academy – Dubai.
Our approach is guided by clear safeguarding policies and procedures. Staff have a responsibility to remain alert to concerns, respond appropriately and ensure that students know how to seek support. Where necessary, the school works with relevant professionals and external agencies to help protect a child’s welfare.
The safety and protection of every student is a priority at GWA. We want all students to feel confident that if they have a concern, they can speak to a trusted adult and be listened to.
If you have a concern about a student's safety or welfare, please contact the school so it can be directed to the appropriate safeguarding lead.
Please take a moment to review the policies below to learn more about our approach to student safety, protection and wellbeing.
