Mr Peter Bonner

Peter is delighted to be stepping into the role of Primary Principal for the 2023-24 Academic Year. Having initially joined GEMS World Academy in August 2017, Peter has served a number of roles in the school including as a Form Tutor, Grade Leader, PYP Coordinator, and Primary Assistant Principal. As an assistant principal, Peter worked closely with the Senior Leadership Team, middle leaders, and teaching staff to support student progress and improve the school's curriculum and learning climate. 

Peter values collaboration and is always available to provide support and guidance to students, parents, and staff. Peter is committed to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive, and works tirelessly to ensure that all students have access to high-quality education. As the new primary school principal, Peter is excited to continue his work in support of young learners. He is committed to continuing to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff, and to providing the highest quality education possible. His passion for education and his dedication to student success are unwavering and he is excited to continue this in his new role. 

Peter received a Bachelor of Science degree in City Planning, a Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Education, a Master of Education degree in Professional Practice, and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership and Management. In his spare time, Peter enjoys playing a number of different sports, cooking, reading, and travelling with his wife and two children.
